Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. About us
These terms apply to services provided by GORKY STUDIO and its label GORKY RECORDS, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("GORKY STUDIO", "we"). By booking a session or ordering a service you agree to these terms.
2. Services
We offer studio recording and studio rent, mixing and mastering, music production (custom tracks and beats), vocal production, video production and music releases through our label GORKY RECORDS. Services are provided in our Dubai studio or remotely.
3. Prices and quotes
- Prices on the website are starting prices ("from") and are for information. The final price is agreed with you in writing (email or chat) before work starts.
- Prices are shown in USD and AED. AED amounts are converted at a fixed rate and rounded.
- If VAT applies, it is shown separately in your quote and invoice.
- First recording offer: US$99 / AED 200 per hour with a sound engineer (instead of US$150 / AED 300) for a new client's first studio session. One per artist; not combined with packages or other discounts.
4. Bookings and payment
- Times shown in the booking calendar are a request, not a confirmed booking. A session is confirmed only after we confirm it in writing and any deposit stated in your quote is paid.
- The deposit amount and when the rest is paid are stated in your quote.
- Remote services (mixing, mastering, production) are paid as stated in your quote. Final files are delivered after full payment.
5. Cancellations and late arrival
- Free rescheduling or cancellation up to 24 hours before the session, unless your quote says otherwise.
- Later cancellations or no-shows: the deposit is not refunded.
- If you arrive late, the session still ends at the booked time.
- If we have to cancel, we offer a new time or a full refund.
6. Studio rules
You are responsible for your guests and for any damage to the studio or equipment caused by you or your guests. No smoking, illegal substances or behaviour that breaks UAE law on the premises. We may end a session without refund if these rules are broken.
7. Who owns the music
- Recordings and mixes. Once paid in full, you own the recordings, mixes and masters made from your own material. We may keep a backup for 30 days after delivery, after which files may be deleted.
- Custom tracks and beats. Rights depend on the option you buy and are set out in a separate written license: an exclusive license (only you can use the track) or a non-exclusive license (we may license it to others). Producer credit and songwriting/publishing splits are agreed in writing before release.
- Video. Ownership and usage rights for videos are set out in the quote for each project.
- Until full payment, all rights in our work remain with us.
8. Your materials
You confirm that you own or have cleared the rights to everything you bring or send us (lyrics, samples, beats, recordings, images). You are responsible for any claims if you do not. We do not work on content that is illegal in the UAE.
9. Revisions and delivery
The number of revisions included in mixing and mastering is stated in your quote. Extra revisions are charged separately. Delivery times are estimates and are agreed for each project.
10. Label releases
Releases through GORKY RECORDS (distribution to streaming platforms, playlist pitching and promotion) are made only under a separate written agreement that sets out royalty splits, term and territory. Playlist placement and streaming results are not guaranteed.
11. Liability
We do our best to keep your files safe, but please keep your own copies. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost opportunities.
12. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the UAE. Disputes are resolved by the competent courts of Dubai. We will always try to resolve any issue with you directly first.
